Series 10 premiered on July 7, 2008, on Nine Network and on Nick Jr. Australia in June 2009. Created by Helena Harris and Posie Graeme-Evans, the original format was produced by Southern Star Group. This marks the last appearance of Nathan, Charli, Sun, and Kellie, and the first appearance of Stevie Nicholson, who replaced Tim Harding due to his motorbike accident. While Casey Burgess replaced Charli earlier, she didn't debut until the next season due to a high budget, so this season still had Charli.

- This series marked:
- The first appearance of the Fit Bit Tips Segment.
- The last series to use frames for children.
- After they say "And together, we're Hi-5!", each member on stage continues with a dialogue, which varies depending on the episode of each week. This scheme has been reused in the British version, which launched the exact same year.
- Unlike Hi-5 House, they announced each episode in their own house.
- However, when the Hi-5 series came back in 2017, the scheme has been reused on stage again.
- Stevie Nicholson was the only member to re-perform two songs from his debut season:
- Stevie Nicholson only did the Making Music Segment in this season.
- He later did the Shapes In Space Segment for six seasons, replacing Nathan Foley, who also only did the Fit Bit Tips Segment in this season. Tim Maddren also replaced Nathan in the Fit Bit Tips Segment for only two seasons.
- The four members have retired due to these reasons:
- Nathan Foley had to concentrate on a solo music career and was replaced by Tim Maddren.
- Sun Park had to settle down and enjoy married life and was replaced by Fely Irvine.
- Kellie Hoggart had to settle down and enjoy life and was replaced by Lauren Brant.
- Charli Robinson had to pursue other interests and was now replaced by Casey Burgess. Charli stayed in the group in early 2008 until a replacement was cast for her. Casey, however, debuted in Hi-5 Live! The Playtime! Concert.
- Noni McCallum is the only puppeteer of Jup Jup, (replacing Tim Harding), and Chatterbox then later in Series 11 (Natalie Duarte), Series 12 (Allyce Martins) and lastly Series 13 (Brianne Turk).
- This is the last series to feature Helena Harris as a producer since she left the show after this series was filmed.
- This series was filmed in late 2007.
